Actor, Producer, Cofounder of All Day Breakfast Theatre Company
Many years ago, I was lucky enough to travel to Berlin and catch a production of Cabaret. It was set in this wonderful marquee. It was all red. The décor was stunning. So, it didn’t feel like you’ve come to watch a show. It felt like you really are in that bar, in that cabaret setting. It was incredible. The energy was just amazing and I remember watching the lead character perform one of her songs, Mein Herr hair, with a bunch of dancers. They all look so fantastic. And I was captivated as I was watching them perform and I remember thinking this this is what I would love to do. This is where I want to be. I’d love to be that person on stage performing just like them. I come from a dancing background and there was something here that struck a chord with me. I am an actor right now, but generally speaking, it’s just about that it’s entertainment, that getting the audience to watch your ever move and enjoy themselves as you tell the story. It was just great. It just fills you with energy, and I think it’s amazing.
